We can provide stairs with some components pre-primed.
Primed components aren’t significantly more expensive and will save you extensive time when finishing the stairs, should you be painting it.
Primed components will still need a top coat of emulsion of a colour of your choice.
The customer opted for a carpet runner on this staircase. This is quite a popular option at the moment and enhances the look of the stairs.
Due to having a carpet runner, the front of the treads are more prominent as they’re not entirely covered by carpet, as such the customer decided to have these 30mm as opposed to the standard 22mm treads.
While the customer has painted most of the staircase white, including the MDF treads (MDF is great for painting), the handrail and caps have been painted black, giving this staircase a modern, distinct look.
The use of a bullnose feature tread on this staircase pushes the bottom post back by one tread, creating a distinct feature. This can also make the room feel bigger.
As standard, posts & spindles on stairs are square. However, on this staircase, the client opted to have them "stop chamfered", which is the extra detail on each edge seen in the photos.
Stop chamfered balustrade gives a different look which can suit both traditional and modern interiors.
