This staircase has been intentionally finished to appear like the handrails, etc., are worn to create this popular look.
For a staircase that turns 180° you can use either:
A half landing uses the most space as, despite its large size, it only contains one tread. You could fit two kite winders within the same area containing six treads.
However, a half landing is more pleasant to walk up and looks better.
Using a combination of oak treads and post caps sets this staircase apart, creating a great look that is in keeping with the style that was trying to be achieved.
