N.B. The price shown is based on the staircase above and calculated based on current pricing.
We supplied this staircase with the following components in primed white:
Although primed components still need painting with a top coat, they're not significantly more expensive and save time on site.
Given the setting, this makes sense, as the stairs need a handrail up one, and using a wall handrail partway up can look strange.
However, it's worth noting that you need to make the stairs 70mm smaller than the opening.
Thus, if the opening is 880mm between walls, the stairs should be 810mm wide.
Allowing for adequate room to get your hands between the handrail and the wall as you walk up the stairs.
When there's a quarter turn on a staircase, that turn can be either a kite winder or a quarter landing.
Quarter landings take up more space than a kite winder.
However, they're cheaper, pleasant to walk up, and, it can be argued, look better.
Using MDF & Plywood makes the most sense if you're carpeting your staircase.
It's cheaper than timber and has none of the drawbacks of natural wood.
This staircase features Primed 41mm Square spindles and Primed 41mm Square Posts.
Using these components creates a modern look whilst keeping costs down.
