As seen on the drawing, this staircase doesn't comply with current building regulations.
However, the customer ordered this staircase to replace an existing staircase, which needed replacement. It wasn't feasible to make the opening bigger to fit in a staircase that was compliant with current building regulations.

Although primed components still need painting with a top coat, they're not significantly more expensive and save time on site.
As standard, posts & spindles on stairs are square. However, on this staircase, the client opted to have them "stop chamfered", which is the extra detail on each edge seen in the photos.
Stop chamfered balustrade gives a different look which can suit both traditional and modern interiors.
