N.B. The price shown is based on the staircase above and calculated based on current pricing.
The majority of double-turn staircases turn 180 degrees back on themselves.
However, there are circumstances such as this one where the stairs must have two turns that turn in opposite directions.
This staircase features solid pine treads & risers to fit in with the aesthetic of the barn.
The risers are Pine veneered MDF (10mm). This is cheaper than using solid Pine, and unless the bottom of the riser is exposed (for example, an open riser stair), it makes sense to use veneer for risers.
This staircase signature handrail, which we only sell as a special order.
Please get in touch if you require this handrail profile on your stairs.
Most staircases are laid out without posts dropping to the floor for support. However, because of the S-shape layout of these stairs, the outside posts around the kite winder were required to drop to the floor for support, creating an interesting feature.
These stairs were supplied by us in 2012 to Woodfarm Barns.
