This staircase has been stained darker to better suit the client's interior. Osmo offers numerous products for this and can supply sample pots. We can provide oak offcuts to test them on before committing to staining your stairs to ensure you get the desired colour and finish.
This stair features two turns. For each turn, you have the option of;
A kite winder saves space as you're putting three treads in the same area where you'd only have one tread if it were a quarter landing. This means you need fewer treads in the straight runs.
However, if you have the space, a quarter landing looks better, costs less and is more pleasant to walk up.
Palace Twist Turned spindles, as shown on this staircase, are pretty effective within this traditional interior.
Although we do not keep them on stock, we can order them as a special order. Please get in touch with us for more information.
Please note; 3D drawing and price is based on standard colonial turned spindles as they're not an option on our tool.
If an oak stair is to be carpeted, it doesn't make sense to supply the treads and risers oak, given the cost saving.
As such, this staircase features MDF treads and plywood risers, ideally suited to carpeting.
Although less popular than ball caps, acorn caps have become an increasingly popular choice to go on top of both turned and square/chamfered posts.
We keep these in stock in both oak and pine.
