N.B. The price shown is based on the staircase above and calculated based on current pricing.
When a staircase is over 1000mm wide, we make the following changes:
This provides additional recommended support for wider stairs.
We offer oak treads in the following sizes: 22mm, 32mm and 44mm.
This staircase features 32mm oak treads; there's no structural reason to require 32mm treads.
However, given the width of this staircase, it could be argued that a 32mm tread looks better as it's more in proportion with this wider staircase.
The oak treads, handrails, baserail & caps have been stained darker to better suit the client's interior.
We can provide oak offcuts to test a stain of your choice before staining your stairs to ensure you get the desired colour and finish.
This staircase signature handrail, which we only sell as a special order.
Please get in touch if you require this handrail profile on your stairs.
Using ball caps on square posts can give a traditional finish to a square post when turned posts are not your preference.
When specifying and buying a staircase, there are many material options available.
A mix of materials, such as in the case of this staircase, can look quite effective and is much more cost-effective than having the entire stair in oak.
We do not generally recommend painting the "touch points", i.e. handrail caps & treads, as the paint can easily chip and look unsightly.
This staircase features two feature treads:
These two feature treads allow the bottom post to be set back by two treads (approx 500mm), making the hallway feel bigger and giving the staircase a grander appearance.
