This staircase is only 38.8°, much shallower than the maximum of 42°.
If you have the space, you can design the stairs to make them shallower and wider, making them more pleasant to walk up and nicer to look at.

Although typical for a commercial staircase to be 1200mm wide.

Usually, a residential staircase is between 800mm and 900mm
However, it's possible to have stairs much wider. 
Wide stairs feel more luxurious to walk up and make a grand statement, enhancing the look of a feature hallway.
The issue with wide staircases is that they take up a lot of space a large property is required.
There's also an additional cost to wide stairs, as an extra support string is required up the middle of the stairs, and the main strings need to be deeper to support this.
As such, this stair features 32x260mm strings to blend in with the underside support string.

It's possible to paint your stairs any colour you wish. We even offer various components pre-primed to make the job easier, with this staircase having it's strings, posts, post caps, handrails and baserails supplied primed white.

We offer multiple handrail profiles. However, we no longer offer "Square Profile" handrail as standard; instead, we offer "Modern Choice" handrail with better ergonomics.
We can still offer "Square Profile" handrail on request as a special order.

This staircase features two feature treads:

• Tread one is Large curtail - Square (Modern).
• Tread two is a bullnose - Square (Modern).

These two feature treads allow the bottom post to be set back by two treads, and thus, the first post is on the inside of the kite winder, which looks better in our opinion.

We offer glass panels either:

• On clamps (with a choice of style and finish).
• Embedded into a groove within the handrail & baserail.

The glass on this staircase is embedded into a groove.
