New Website Launch
We're finally live!
We've been working on this website for a few years and have totally rewritten everything.
We aimed to build the best staircase website we could, and I feel we've mostly achieved that.
Working on a website rebuild is a long journey, and we could have kept going until we made it "perfect." However, at some point, you have to "call it" and put it live. We felt we'd reached that point, but we're aware it's not "done." We'll be adding new features (hopefully quickly).
The main feature of this new website has been the new StairDesigner, which allows you to design, price, and buy your staircase. We had this on our old website, but this is a new tool (with 3D).
However! Aside from this, there are many other cool new features we've added to this new website, which I'm going to cover below:
New 3D StairDesigner
Built in 3D
The plan view is 3D (top-down), making for seamless transitions and accurate, realistic models.
More Advanced Pricing:
Our pricing algorithms are highly advanced, considering all the nuances of each design to give the best prices to our customers.
Landing balustrade on the drawing:
You can now add a landing balustrade to the drawing to match the stairs, creating a more complete model priced correctly based on the most efficient lengths.
Save stairs and download PDFs:
It's now possible to save your stair designs to your user area; each time you save, a new "version" of your design is saved, and you can go back and look at previous iterations anytime you want. You can also download your designs as a PDF document that is ready to e-mail or print.
Integration With Previous Work:
Prices added to case studies:
Our new StairDesigner is integrated into the previous work section. This means the stairs have a price calculated in real-time based on today's prices.
You can also view the staircase in StairDesigner and base your drawing on that staircase.
New case studies, with video:
We've added lots more content to the previous work section of our website, and many of the case studies now feature high-quality videos that we filmed ourselves on-site.
More Filters:
We've added additional filters, making it easier to find precisely what you want. For example, if you only want to view stairs with bullnose feature treads... now you can!
Rebuilt Stair Part Shop:
Easier to use filters:
We've rebuilt our shop from the ground up to be easier to use.
Variations can be selected from the main shop screen or within the product.
Easy-to-read tables within the product:
If you click on any product with variations and select the options tab, we've added a table for each product that should be easier to understand. This should make working out what you need quicker and easier.
More products:
We've streamlined our offering and added even more products, including new handrail variants. All of these are in stock and ready to go.
What's next for TKstairs in 2025?
Now that our website is live, we intend to keep developing it through 2025 to make it better.
StairDesigner enhancements:
Wedges & glue blocks, walls, headroom checker, improved 3D, and other features are coming soon!
New Tool - Space Saver StairDesigner:
We also intend to add a new Space Saver StairDesigner with enhanced 3D. As well as
New Tool - BalustradeDesigner:
We intend to add an all-new Balustrade Design tool that is easier to use and more helpful for people who want to buy handrails, baserail and spindles, glass and metal balusters.
Enhanced Back End:
We also intend to improve the website back end for user accounts to make them easier to use with better integration with the StairDesigner.
